Installing Residential Solar Safely

To ensure your safety and protect your product warranties, we strongly recommend that you get us or another SEANZ Member to install your solar system. All residential installations must be done in accordance with AS/NZS Standards 4509, 4777, 5033, and 5139.

To protect your life and the lives of your friends and family, we will ask who the registered electrician for this project is and ring them to record their EWRB Number and confirm they have achieved a parallel generation/solar endorsement. We will also discuss with them the need to provide you with a Code of Compliance and Record of Inspection. This ensures your product warranties with AA Solar remain valid.

If you do decide to undertake the non-electrical work yourself,  keep in mind that the installation of solar equipment involves:

  • Working at heights
  • Handling heavy panels while on the roof
  • Install heavy batteries
  • Operating metal-cutting equipment
  • Thought and skill to ensure the equipment is accessible and looks professionally installed.

Getting us to take care of the installation will ensure it is done safely, look great and generally be completed within a day. All work is supervised and signed off by a Master Electrician, with the added peace of mind that AA Solar is a  SEANZ member.
