Power anywhere with AA Solar

Why solar is perfect for RVs, caravans and boats

Solar is perfect for RVs, caravans and boats because it is clean, quiet, and free of the vibration and pollution of petrochemical-fired generators/engines. Most importantly, solar systems provide highly mobile and reliable electricity.

Our Silverdale workshop has been specifically designed to support the needs of our RV and Caravan installation customers. It is easy to access from the motorway, offers excellent parking, and customers can even park and stay in the motorhome overnight.

Our showroom provides restrooms, kitchenette facilities and comfortable seating if you need to remain on-site while work is being carried out.

Most of our solar engineers operate from our Silverdale office, so it is the perfect opportunity to pick their brains about all things solar.

Why use solar power?

  1. The most significant advantage is the independence you will acquire from not relying on mains power when travelling. It will give you the freedom to go wherever you want for however long.
  2. It will add resale value to your RV.
  3. Solar Power is quiet, unlike generators.
  4. You will save money by avoiding tourist/caravan park fees for powered sites. With solar power, you can have a less expensive unpowered site or stay at a more remote location.
  5. If you enjoy quiet locations without a crowd, solar power will let you enjoy the great outdoors while still enjoying all your RV luxuries.
  6. You can contribute to reducing the impacts of fossil fuel and natural gas power stations, such as greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution.
  7. The components are long-lasting, durable and low maintenance. For example, solar panels typically produce energy for at least 25 years with no maintenance other than the occasional clean-off with water.
  8. We are lucky in New Zealand that we have a high degree of sunshine, which makes solar power a worthwhile option
