AA Solar provided design, supply and installation services for stage one of the University of Waikato’s solar project to support the university's goal of reaching carbon neutrality by 2030.

Stage one provided 220KW of solar capacity across three sites, focusing on installing the panels on the building at the Orchard Park Student Accommodation site and meeting today's power needs while making future expansion easy.

We partnered with Shape Energy.  By partnering with Shape Energy, we provided a package with energy storage options to get more out of their solar generation and system monitoring solutions to make scheduling system maintenance a breeze. They also gave us expanded project management capability, improving our delivery capabilities.

By partnering with Shape Energy, we can tackle any solar project, regardless of scale. Combining our two organisations means we have over 60 staff ready to deploy.

A hallmark of our winning tender was the ease of implementing future stages when the University is ready.
