Our residential customer already had a 6kW hybrid system with 10 x 380W panels specified and installed by another company. He was unhappy with the system, and the batteries were not charging properly, so he reached out to us for help to support his goal of upgrading the existing system to go completely off-grid.
We added four additional panels on the west side of their home to capture the evening sun. Given the closeness of his beautiful tree, our electrical engineer did comprehensive shading studies and installed the panels in parallel to minimise shading loss.
We then installed a range of Studer equipment to maximise the useable energy in the home, including two solar controllers, an inverter/charger, a battery monitor, and communication and control equipment. To ensure our client’s available energy was maximised and he had complete control and visibility of the system.
