Geraldine’s Tiny Home Solar System

Geraldine was referred to AA Solar by a friend who is a current AA Solar customer.  Geraldine’s Tiny Home Solar System will provide an off-grid power source to support her living in her tiny home year-round.

Our solar specialist developed a Bespoke solar system for Geraldine based on her energy need, site, and roof space available.  Geraldine’s Tiny Home from Amazing Spaces and the North-East & South West orientation of the site. Required us to design a split array solar system.

Geraldine’s Tiny Home Solar System included 8 x 455W PERC Half Cut black-framed PV Solar Panels.   The 455W Solar panels were the perfect choice to maximise solar production. The Half-Cut design ensures the solar panels continue to generate power during low light and partial shading.   The PV Solar Array will generate 3.64kW of power to support a winter energy load of approximately 3kWh/day.

The Direct Current from the Solar Panels are converted to AC power by an SPF5000 ES-Off Grid Solar Inverter.  While cooking and hot water are powered using gas cylinders.

The installed Battery System delivers 12.8KW of usable storage to support daily energy needs and backup power.  Specifically, depending on Geraldines’ energy usage, she has 2-4 days of autonomy.

  • 2.5kWh/day four days autonomy
  • 3.0kWh/day three days autonomy
  • 5.0kWh/day Four days autonomy

We installed 4x Pylontech US3000 Lithium Batteries in and Plyontech Outdoor Cabinet.  An onsite Genset further supports the Battery system.

We are so proud and happy to support Geraldine’s new Tiny Home lifestyle.
